Discovering the magic world of open source is very difficult in a capitalist environment like the United States. It is accurate to say that open source defeats the capitalist adage that "Nothing Good is Free." Wrong, the open source environment is more like paying top dollars for less quality as opposed to getting something of higher quality for free or less. Let's assume that in the automobile market, Toyota Motors decides to expose their LEXUS luxury brand to open engineering (open source). Safety and concerned experts (engineers, inventors, etc) continue to improve the car as their contribution to the global community.
